Don't get eaten by any bears! :)

I was gonna say Penquins make good eating.

What's funny is that some of these jokes were the same the players made.

"Evil Lawyer, is like Evil Necromancer, it's redundant."

Modern Fantasy.

It was conceived while I was in high school, but was born from a d20 Mod/Brew Game I ran in college.

Best described by the group's Martial Artist/Slayer: "I just played Buffy the Vampire Slayer if it had the Avenger's budget."

Given that she is a devout worshiper at the shrine of Whedon, I took it as a high compliment.

They fought vampires, necromonsters, a magic robot, and (because I was feeling evil) a 2k year old assassin/Lawyer.

The current draft is sitting at just shy of 60k words, but most of that is going to be torn down because I fleshed out character motivations, restructured the time line, and cutting back on how many villains i have on the field at any one time.

I got him to laugh at a joke involving one of his submissions.

http://icymasamune.deviantart.com/art/Clockwork-Daycare-437860656

The back story is, he used to have a webcomic, and in his attempt at a reboot a few years back, a mafioso character was introduced breaking into the MC's home, because the MC worked for their mutal boss lady and this enforcer thought someone was actually robbing on of their member's homes.

This individual was dubbed Slick by teh MC's adoptive sister, and all attempt at him asserting his real name were overridden by her louder "My speech bubbles are more important" dialogue.

My joke made him laugh, so he drew me a doodle of the Main Character from my novel in progress.

Sure Tanstaffl, I'll just stand over here. In the sunlight. Forever.

rules are made to be tweaked, Berka. That's why they're rules and not laws.

I might just do that thing. fair wairning I DON'T fully know the system so it'd be more of a guidelines than actual rules situation.

I caught onto Berka being the creator when I was breezing through 'extra edges' and the pepsi fiend brought up him writing in a new edge in the middle of a game.

Which is awesome.

is there any call for a Bebop style PBP right now? I mean posting in that section might be a good start...

I guess it's easier to maintain more episodic games than 'long cons' in PBP's?

I'm a little telepathic blind girl!

Upstaging Whedon, are yeh?

And I had reread the first post, so I get the gist that things have gone to 'Ghenna' (I love 'Hell' in other languages and cultures, the words just SOUND better).

Thanks, Fireplay. Kind of curious if there are any games looking for new additions. I saw ONE that seems like a cloak and dagger sort of CIA play?

A while back I buy BHB on rpg now, cause I've been a bit of an RPG rut recently. (Out of college, no nerds in range, much sad) And when I go to see if there's some prefab BHB baddies I can run test characters against....

I find this place...

Rather than lurk, I figured I'd say hi.

I'm Marcus, of Terra, and I'm familiar with Post by Posts. I currently play a 'medic' on a Aliens Marine site, played some Firefly. So I'm used to both being the heavy hand and on the wrong side of 'The Law'

So, a Bebop board..... that... peeks my interests... somewhat.

I have NOT ever played with the system, with people, so I'm a bit new to the idea. And just as I'm typing this, with all the other buttons, neat. I'm going to have to find the faq that tells me how that works.

I'm a writer by education, and preference, and I love worlds that blend technology with checked superhumanity (Powers at a cost, like going crazy)

TL;DR: Hi, I'm a nerd an I'm hoping to try out some BHB PBP RPG PDQ FTW
