It's a strategy type game.
A short summary is that you pick an army made up from units from history eg. Spartan soldiers, Persian cavalry and English longbow men etc. then battle against others by giving in depth plans to use for a specific goals I give (eg. Find the hidden forts and capture them) . I then use my stats sheets, terrain and a small luck roll to find the outcome of any conflicts and posts results for all to see.
each round the loosing army gets booted out until only 1 remains.
slightly more in depth: You submit the army and I'll put it all into stats sheets giving each troop type scores for attack, defence, speed, stamina and loads of other things including specialties ie. Gladiators would have a specialty that might be brawl type fights or 1 on 1 fights where phalanx would be specialty defence in formations and against cavalry etc.
The weighting for outcomes is: Plan and Troop Stats>variable like weather, terrain and unexpected>Luck.
Obviously due to the nature of the set-up (You pm-ing me the plan) Some of the result will be subjective as I have to occasionally pit plans directly against each other but I do my best to ensure the majority of things is decided by the stats and sheets.
