Yasuo burns a Surge Point to rush out of the room. The big man follows him and is right on his heels.

“Intruders!” he yells loudly as he goes – the sound carrying through the house.

If that weren’t bad enough, the Yakuza Lieutenant meanwhile, pulls a silk chord near his judgment seat and tinkling bells are heard on each level. Immediately, responding to the alarm, there is a roar of men and barking of dogs from the first floor!

Then the Yakuza Lieutenant throws a knife at Hiro, spending a luck Point to hit. Hiro takes 12 Points of Damage and is Poisoned – but makes his Save and only loses 1 Point of Constitution.

Now the Naganata-wielding man still in the room, advances on Hiro, while the three crossbowmen continue to wind-up their bowstrings, and the Lieutenant takes cover behind his tall raised chair.

Yasuo, outside on the third floor near the stairs, faces the second Naganata-wielding man and can hear commotion down on the first floor…

Yasuo burns a surge point to summon a demon - Ibzo the fiend to be completely clear. He makes sure to place Ibzo riiiiiiight in front of the large Naginata wielding man... And will order Ibzo to kill the man the second the fiend is summoned. Luck points will be used as necessary to complete this life saving action.
Yasuo will take care to stay out of direct sight of the staircase, so that guards coming up wouldn't see him and immediately shoot him.
Yasuo will then pull out his sword and his shield - and promptly hide behind the shield, staying out of killing distance of the big man. He will also cast shield on himself if he has the time.
As for Hiro, hopefully he will work at taking out the crossbowmen, for now...

Yasuo successfully summons up Ibzo the Fiend between him and the pursuing Yakuza Muscle.

“Kill him now!” Yasuo commands – and for a glimmer of a moment, it seems as if the demon is going to ignore him… but then the Fiend Radiates and attacks the charging man – Goring him through the chest with both of his long flame-wreathed horns for 19 and 27 Points of Damage! The already wounded man is killed instantly and is set Ablaze.

Not thinking anything of his billowing flames, the Fiend then tosses the man’s burning body down the stairs.

Unfortunately, the wooden floor under Ibzo and the ceiling above him take lite – as do the railings of the stairs, where the still burning body was thrown down…

Meanwhile below, the Yakuza gang members and their two guard dogs rush up to the second floor of the house and crowd at the stairs leading up. It appears they are hesitant to advance up the flaming stairs, past a flaming body, to attack a flaming demon, standing in a flaming room…

At this point, it dawns on Yasuo that there are no windows or other exits off the third floor, besides those now very perilous stairs…

---

Back inside the Yakuza’s Chamber of Judgment, Hiro rushes another crossbow man and with the help of another Luck Point KO’s him with the sap, before he can raise his crossbow against him.

Unfortunately, that leaves the other two firing more poison bolts at him – but one shot misses and the other is narrowly dodged with yet another Luck Point.

Then the large Yakuza, that killed Lilitu, charges Hiro and burns a Surge Point to swing twice! The first attack cleaves across Hiro’s torso – inflicting 16 Damage and actually toppling the samurai over from the blow.

The second swing comes down overhead, and catches Hiro across the back for another 16 Damage – but Hiro’s breastplate holds under the blow!

“Yasuo, where are you?!?” Hiro yells as he tries to get up.

Then the Lieutenant tosses two more blades at Hiro – this time catching him in the neck and shoulder. Unfortunately, out of Luck points to help him, Hiro is doubly Poisoned, loses the rest of his Constitution, and starts Dying.

“What the hell is that out there? Fire?!?” The Yakuza lieutenant asks – and then spends a Surge Point for an unseen Action…

"Ibzo, stop radiating now, and do not radiate again until ordered by me to do so! Rip a hole into the wall right there (Yasuo points to a part of the house that isn't on fire, that he could easily reach from the outside the allway) big enough for me to fit through, then go into that room and kill the crossbowmen and the large guard. Do not do anything that would harm me in any way. Do not attack the samurai in there, he is dressed as a commoner, and will have a sap. Do not do anything to harm him. Do not kill the lieutenant in there, though if he appears to be reading from a scroll, then I want you to immediately knock him out, to the utmost of your ability, but DO NOT KILL HIM. If anyone other than the Lieutenant is reading a scroll, rip them apart before they can do anything to cast it."

Now that Ibzo has his orders, Yasuo will, you know, just kinda move out of the fire, and then stand outside of the doorway while the fiend does his thing...

I wonder how much shit i'll get into for this? Yeah, probably quite a bit. Should have waited till I finished reading those old demon magic scrolls dad kept. Would probably be done by now. Could have also had the most awesome fivesome ever.
Oh well, guess it'll have to wait for now...
.

(Yasuo will be taking a focused defense action this turn if attacked. He will also attack anyone with his sword if he sees them coming up the stairs, with the objective being to push them down.)

The Fiend moves to an outer wall and starts smashing at the timbers - fracturing one beam with a strike and then ripping it free. Seeing that this is going to actually take more time that it likes, Ibzo burns 2 Surge Points to attack the wall some more - breaking it down a little further. From what Yasuo can see, it will take at least two rounds (without more Surge Points) for the demon to rip open a hole big enough for Yasuo to squeeze out through.

At the bottom of the stairs meanwhile, three men run up to fetch pots of water, while three others charge up the stairs - jumping through the fire at the top.

"Kill the Priest and you won't need to fight the Demon!" their leader yells.

The two guard dogs initially make like they are going to follow, but stop short of trying to actually make it past the fire.

As the three sword wielding Yakuza use up all their actions moving this round, Yasuo gets a free attack on one and almost manages to send him toppling back down the stairs - but the man grabs hold of the railing at the last moment to save himself.

---

In the Yakuza Lieutenant's room meanwhile, things have suddenly become very quiet...

Yasuo runs away from the enemy troops.
"Ibzo, stop destroying the wall and kill the men on the stairwell as quickly as you can!"

Yasuo peeks around the door, while putting his magical shield so that it faced the enemy troops on the stairwell, he will make a focused defensive action if attacked.

Should he see what he is expecting - that is to say, all of the Yakuza are gone after the lieutenant cast a teleportation spell - Yasuo will rush towards Hiro and spend his last surge point (and gain a psychosis point) in order to use suppress poison on him.
Unless, of course, Hiro is already dead, in which case Yasuo will leave the body alone and save his very last spell.

“Make up your mind human!” The Fiend growls and rushes into the group of three men. It then Radiates again – causing another section of floor and ceiling to ignite – and spends its last Surge Point to make a total of two Power Attack(+5)-fueled strikes.

The first Crits on one of the Yakuza – doing 23L Damage straight to Wounds! The man’s chest cavity is obliterated with one powerful slam of Ibzo’s large flaming fist!

The second blow strikes a second man for 27 Points of Damage – not quite killing him outright – but putting a serious hurting on him!

The two remaining men run wide, around the Fiend, to attack Yasuo with their swords – The first man Critting on the attack, and forcing Yasuo to burn his last Luck Point to counter it. The second man also gets a stab in past the Shield spell – thrusting his blade at Yasuo’s side, but this time Yasuo’s Focused Defense pays off and he narrowly slips the attack.

As this goes on, the large naginata-wielding man comes around the door suddenly, having held an action to attack whatever neared the doorway first.

Instead of striking with the naginata however, he simply tries to palm-punch Yasuo in the face with a Dispel Magic Ofuda. An Ofuda (as the Occult community knows), is a special Magical Kanji (writing) that need only to touch its target to go off!

The large man’s first attack Botches, but he spends a Luck to counter the botch and just ends up smashing his hand into the doorframe. His second attack hits with a Luck Point, while Yasuo then Botches the Dodge! Without any more Luck Points, he is forced to burn his last Surge Point for Focused Defense – taking a Crit on his Dodge instead of the Botch.

The man then burns a Surge Point to try once more, but the slippery Priest crits yet another Dodge!

---

As this goes on, three more men rush up the stairs and throw water on the first section of flaming floor and ceiling. Seeing the Fiend still there, with another section of the third floor now on fire and the Fiend still Radiating, they hesitate – but stay at the top of the stairs.

The naginata man meanwhile, Spends Surge to Interrupt Yasuo and the Fiend this next round…

Yasuo takes a focused defensive dodge (on naginata dude), while ordering the fiend:
"Ibzo! Pick me up and carry me out of this house as fast as you are able without killing me!Brin me to the high priest of Morioka! Do not radiate as you do so!"
He will also throw his dagger at naginata man's face in order to distract him, hopefully...

Ibzo moves to comply but the man with the Ofuda acts first, striking at Yasuo with the Ofuda and yelling – “Bowmen advance – take out the demon summoner!”

He takes a Focused Attack and his first strike makes it in past Yasuo’s defenses. Struck with the Ofuda – Yasuo feels his magical link to the Fiend Ibzo abruptly end! On top of that, he takes 13 points of damage from the palm-heel to the chin and is KO’d!

The man then spends a Surge Point to bring the blade of the Naginata down on Yasuo’s head for another 11 points of Damage – Disabling him.

“Save some for me!” Ibzo roars, picking up Yasuo’s body and wreathing it in Radiating flames – killing him instantly – and then ripping him limb-from-limb as he had once promised to do some day.

As all this goes on, even more of the third floor catches fire – and the men on the steps retreat quickly from the now ‘control free’ demon!

---

The scene then pans out of the building and down onto the streets below – where a number of Morioka’s Doshin have gathered to address the issue of a house fire in the Entertainment District.

The entire third floor of a townhouse is billowing flames and pouring out a sooty black smoke. Down wind, a number of elderly and small children gasp out their final breaths – at the deadly vapors continue to rise from all the Yakuza stores of Assassin’s Oil that burn in the conflagration...

---

The next day, the city mourns the deaths of Yoriki Hiro Komogata of Morioka, Yoriki Yasuo Shiga of Sendai, seven Doshin killed putting out the fire, and sixteen citizens killed by poison gas.

It is a tragedy and a debacle that will be remembered forever…
