Enemy Info
« on: April 12, 2014, 12:07:20 pm »

quick reference enemy list!
Elites - the enemy leaders, look like oversized humans in blue armour,  always extremely dangerous
Grunts - cannon fodder, small with a giant bulbous tail, dangerous in groups. Cowardly
Jackals - flankers and snipers. Small humanoids, amazing senses and agility. Dangerous at range
Buggers - giant insects, dangerous in swarms
Brutes - think of a grizzly bear crossed with an angry teenager. Very dangerous in CC
Hunters - think of a giant armoured statue come to life, with siege weaponry and giant shield

This will later become the full In-Game knowledge of the species you may or may not encounter during the game. This is NOT all the info on them available and you can easily look up several websites and books that have more, including the limited edition ones I own muhahaha.

However your charicters ONLY know whats in these threads so no slipping in outside knowledge about the aliens or their weapons or their abilities k? cos if you try I will Gm-fiat their abilities to be different from cannon law just to screw you over for trying it out :) I'm a nice guy that way.

Sangheili (Elites)

The Elites, as they are now known, have been seen on almost every single battle ground which has had enough survivors to give a report. They seem to be a mix between the aliens shock troops, command units and special ops. It is presumed that they have military ranks and roles that at least parrallel our own accounting for the different types encountered in battle.

Current intel:
Humanoid
On average 8 feet tall (245cm) +/- 1 foot
seemingly human level of reaction times, higher than human strength
Sentient and highly intelligent
Use a range of weaponry including all known medium and heavy weaponry
Highly capable in close combat

Jiralhanae (Brutes)

The Brutes, as they are now known, have been seen on very few battlegrounds so far. Where present the reports put them as somwhere between 8 and 10 feet when standing tall but they mostly fight in a hunched stance.

Current intel:
Humanoid/bearlike
On average 8 to10 feet tall
seemingly human level of reaction times, way higher than human strength
Sentient and seemingly intelligent. Often rage during battle
Use a range of weaponry including most known medium and heavy weaponry
Highly capable in close combat, relying on speed and 'Brute stength' to deliver single devistating blows. Capable of punching a human several meters in the air with ease.

Mgalekgolo (hunters)

The Hunters, as they are now known, have been seen on over half of known battlefields. They are hulking giants in heavy plate armour that carry heavy assault weaponry, often described as living tanks. Devistating at range and close combat these enemies seem to inspire fear in trained combatants even where there reputation is unknown.

Current intel:
Possibly Humanoid?
On average maybe 13 feet tall, fights huntched in Heavy armour maybe 9 feet in huntched stance
Seemingly human level of reaction times, Rediculous levels of strength
Sentient and intelligent
Uses heavy assault weaponry and a large shield in combat
Highly capable in close combat, Uses the large metalic shield as an offensive weapon. A single blow can tip a tank or flip a warthog clean into the air. Capable of breaking through reinforced steel doors. Humans do not survive an impact.

Yanme'e (drones/buggers)

The Drones, as they are now known, have been seen on several battlefields as a form of light air support. Basically giant semi-intelligent insects. Traveling in both swarms and small strike groups they often scout or support the other ground troops, seemingly very capable at navigating ducks and maintinence shafts due to their size and agility.

Current intel:
Insectoid
On average 5 feet tall +/- 1 foot
Seemingly human level of reaction times, lower than human strength
Sentient and semi-intelligent
Use a range of light weaponry
Not capable in close combat

Kig-Yar (Jackals)

The Jackals, as they are now known, have been seen on almost every single battle ground which has had enough survivors to give a report. They seem to be a mix between the aliens snipers and flankers. They fight around other troops either sniping from the back or flanking with shields as other troops take the centre of the line.

Current intel:
Vaguely humanoid
On average 5 feet tall (245cm) +/- 1 foot but fight crouched
Seemingly higher human level of reaction times and better senses, lower than human strength
Sentient and highly intelligent but bloodthirsty
Use a range of light weaponry and long range weaponry
Not capable in close combat. They will rip apart and feed on a badly injured soldier but will run away from an active combatant if they take a hit.

Unggoy (grunts)

The grunts, as they are now known, have been seen on almost every single battle ground which has had enough survivors to give a report. They seem to be a mix between the aliens cannon fodder and 'force in numbers' tactics. Generally seen as cowards they fight in waves controlled by one or more elites but they often flee to regroup if several of them or their 'leader' get killed however when they attack in a wave they can do significant damage with their light weaponry and grenades.

Current intel:
Vaguely humanoid with a large bulbous tail
On average 5 feet tall (245cm) +/- 1 foot
seemingly human level of reaction times, lower than human strength
Sentient and seemingly intelligent if cowardly
Use most known light weaponry
Barely capable in close combat
