Sorry for the long cutscene between the two NPCs, but Zelios would only introduce himself to the architect (and maybe Heldric) and he's an important enough character that I didn't want to skip over his part in the chapter.

Really wish Bo hadn't ditched, this was meant to be a defining moment for his character.

D - A fair price would be much, much more than what he's offering to let you pay him. You might suggest some alternative payments - such as servants or boons, to cover some amount of the cost before you dip into your funds.

Well, as the key was described as a big hunk of gold, I figured it was worth throwing out there as an offer - though I'm surprised (beside the fact that we are still waiting for some players to be on) that no one suggests that we shouldn't give it to him.

The translation key is worth more than the castle you guys are building XD

And not because it's made of gold, the translation key and the info in the tablets is extremely valuable to the right people.

I wouldn't suggesting selling it off just yet.

Though if you're giving it to anyone, Zelios is at least the right choice.

The NPCs told you you shouldn't give him the translation key, because that was their opinion. You could have done it anyway :p

You guys could have had this conversation, but having ANY conversation like this in front of the person you just offered the payment to is insanely rude, regardless of whether or not they're a vampire. I'm pointing it out because you seem to have forgotten this fact because it's play-by post.

The money is everyone's. Sylvian can't pay it himself, because he doesn't have enough. Lucien isn't "footing the bill", he's making the decision of whether or not to use your collective funds to pay Zelios.

Yeah, the NPCs have an opinion on events, they'll voice them, it's up to you whether or not you listen.

Eh, the NPCs were giving us the ability make an informed decision. Still dunno if they were right (don't think Radu is in league with whatever this elder evil is, and I don't think itd hurt to have him in the know), but they basically said that its a dangerous text, and not something that should be spread lightly. Not really forcing us to do anything, though the game does make it a point to lead us in the only intelligent decision possicle.

Probably become more grey and greyer choices once we become princes. ^^
