Heldric will indeed stay true to form:

Others engadge first while he stays hidden then he will strike an enemy at what he deems the opportune time to either finish a weakened strong opponent or to face-punch and blind a normal opponent.

Of course if things go badly then Vanish from the minds eye is a very useful ability especially with its chance of causing confusion.

She was absolutely sacrificed, by the way, though it doesn't explicitly state it. Radu banished her to Yorak's land.

You are right that she became one of Yorak's servants. In fact, you'll note that absolutely nothing has been said to contradict this.
