You asked if the guards chased you, not if you know where they are at the moment (you don't, otherwise i'd have included it in the post).

I knew they chased us. I thought it was only me and Anton and the girl in the scene right now, I'm just checking (since Anton mentioned distracting the guards.)

Everyone gets to make a riding roll through the narrow alley way now! +1 difficulty for each additional rider on the horse! Woo! (Anton's initial roll was at difficult 9, so it'll max out at 10 and the pre-requisite number of successes will just have to be 4 instead of 3)

Plus, the girl would suffocate in them. Unless you just leave it at your feet.

Exactly. He's trying to avoid the guards by specifically going where they aren't. A normal failure means he doesn't know where the guards are while trying to avoid them (small chance of riding into them).

A botch means he rides directly into them (failing his goal horribly). Fantoma goes where he leads, she thinks he's charging into battle ^_^

yeh, seems that he is deliberately trying to head away from the guards while doing so in a way that lets them follow him away from the girl.

A botch taking him right into the guards makes sense.

I thought Anton was waiting for the guards and then planning on running in the opposite way Kiril went though? To like, trick them into following him. Though this is fine, ha ha. XD
