Kiril spends will if necessary to refrain from attacking Lucien.  "Can't you make him shut up?" he snaps towards Anton, before cautiously approaching the girl.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you," he says in Hungarian.  "I was trying to keep that man from taking you away."

If she seems okay, he'll continue.  "I'm Kiril- what's your name?"

Lucien gets a little pissed off at being Ignored.

"you did all this, for a mortal girl you know nothing about, started a fight with another cainite. Do you even realise what rules you have broken tonigh?" he asks angrily.

"Now, let me change your appearence to keep you safe from this monster he spoke about."

And as we're likely to be working togheter since i assume all our sires wish us to be here i strongly suggest you either kill the girl or ghoul  Her. Mortals must not know of our existence."
"Lucian, do not question my brother, or order him about." Anton states strongly.

He then turns to the girl, and speaks in Hungarian.
"Calm down. My brother will keep you safe." He states, and then looks back at Kiril.

"Do not fear, brother. We shall feed soon. Take the girl and we shall head to the prince's castle." He states.

"If you had listened to me, i did not presume to order him around. I offered suggestions. I even offered to help with with his.. newly aquired friend."

"And if any of you think you're above the traditions then you disgrace not only yourself but your sire's. And that means  you dont get to enjoy your new life for long."

Kiril

Kiril spends will if necessary to refrain from attacking Lucien.  "Can't you make him shut up?" he snaps towards Anton, before cautiously approaching the girl.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you," he says in Hungarian.  "I was trying to keep that man from taking you away."

If she seems okay, he'll continue.  "I'm Kiril- what's your name?"

The girl stands up now, to her full height, and pats at her ripped dress.

"I am  fine, thank you. My name is Sherazhina Basarab. And you are no mortal man."

Kiril immediately recognizes the name as that of one of the most powerful Revenant families in all of Transylvania. As a revenant, the girl could be a useful servant... and could serve him well should they need to have any dealings with the family or its vampiric members in the future. Of course, he could also always just let her go.

"My family can pay you well for my rescue, be it in blood or gold. I will never forget the service you have done me."

Lucien sighs heavily.

"Im sorry. I got a little too worked up and i apologize for my outburst. I did not mean to offend."

"Anton, would you mind translatating what they are saying to me?"

"And sorry Kiril. I mean it. the offer still stands to remake your appearence. You dont hafto owe me anything."

He then turned to Anton. "If i offended you, i can remake you lf any appearence if you wish aswell Anton. No strings attached. After all, a craftsman is as happiest when making a masterpiece."

Kiril gives her the best bow he can muster.
"Will you stay with me, for now?  That monster, Roland, he may still be after you."

He turns to Lucien.  "You are really hoping to resculpt someone's face, aren't you?  Are all Tzimisce so eager to practice their craft?"

Anton nods.
"I thank you for the offer, Lucien. But now is not the time for such things, we only have a few hours until
The meeting, and the prince is waiting."

"Kiril, do what you please with the girl, though I ask you to keep her untainted. I will worry about her faith soon, but it is neither the place or time for that. We must go." He states to his brother, as he grasps the reigns on his horse.

"lead the way, fellows."

"Pleasure to meet you, lord Kiril."

Heldric

Out in the central market, Heldric notes that Steeple is gone. The slave auctions are now back on, with the auctioneer and his thugs now being extra-careful regarding the slaves. He also sees Carinus approaching with a young boy, and an old man, leading a cow. He looks about briefly before moving to Heldric and asking him - "Evening Heldric, would you be able to tell me where the good lord Kiril is?"

Heldric nods to him "The direction I came from then...(he gives the directions) be weary of the guards and... i believe a nosferatu who might still be in the area."

He then heads back to his carriage and signals Andreas to join him. "It's time we were heading to the castle." He says loud enough for the girl driving to hear.

Carinus nods his thanks and looks to the two others.

"It seems my lord is unavailable at the moment, however you are both willing to wait here, yes?"

Heldric notes a bit of command in Carinus' voice. The cannibal repeats the statement to both the boy and the old man, and he deduces that the ghoul is dominating them into compliance.

They both nod their agreement and Carinus smiles a sharp smile.

Heldric then departs, to join Steeple in plot-limbo.

Meanwhile at the tavern, Steeple enjoys some light repast and good wine, having some sent out to his herd (who are watching the wagon and carriage outside).

It occurs to Lucien that perhaps returning to the slave auction with the escaped slave and the people who took her would be an incredible waste of all of their efforts to cover up her escape.

Meanwhile at the tavern, Steeple enjoys some light repast and good wine, having some sent out to his herd (who are watching the wagon and carriage outside).

The tavern is called "The House of the Red Hedgehog", and within, Steeple has been enjoying the general aura of revelry that encompasses the fine establishment.

Located between the castle and the church district, the Red Hedgehog is an inn catering to visiting nobles and people of wealth who wish to stay in the castle district of Buda rather than in the market area of Pest. Accommodations and food are said to be the best in the city, and the inn's division of its tavern portion into three smaller, linked areas makes each seem private without feeling closed in.

As he sits, scoping out the humans in the area, he notices a man dressed in a simple, dark monk's robe, his face shadowed by the robe's cowl, walking towards him. The man takes a seat across his table and sits there, doing absolutely nothing but starting at Steeple.

After a while, he talks - his voice is a rich, warm and captivating one - a storyteller's voice, in fact.

"Might you be willing to tell me how you lost your arm?"

His tone is curious.

"It's tale, not for the feint of heart," Steeple replies, glad for the company.

"Most harrowing in fact."

Then leaning in to whisper, so only the man can hear, he explains, "lost it to the most fiendish of nuns many years ago, while I slept off a rather heavy night of drinking in a gutter near a cathedral!"

Steeple

"Steeple Carson Olof Trevesky the Fourth," Steeple replies to the man, feeling more at ease now.

"A pleasure to meet you."

"So you are a chronicler or an illuminator of sorts then?"

"Quite the name you have there. Excellent guess, yes, I'm a scribe, I work in humble service to Bela III."

He smiles devilishly when he says the word humble.

"I'm afraid I can't stay for long, but just a suggestion - be nice, he has many powerful friends, but he cannot trust them, nor should he."

With that, Anonymus promptly leaves the table, and exits the tavern.

Steeple soon finds that he is joined by a different man - he is dressed in gaudy clothes, but there is no other sign of wealth on his person. His eyes are warm and filled with laughter.

"Evening, I couldn't help but notice another Kindred in the city. I can't say i've ever seen you here before."

The comments are not hostile or interrogatory, rather it seems like an attempt to strike up conversation.

Meanwhile, Heldric has just spotted Steeple's wagon, stopped by the side of a tavern called the House of the Red Hedgehog.

Kiril, Lucien and Anton have just departed for the edge of the river, and will soon arrive (after two posts from Heldric or Steeple)

Kiril then proceeds to feed on the man, boy and pig, trying not to kill any of them.  Once he was sufficiently replenished, he would offer his blood to Carinus and Sherazhina.

"Clearly a man who enjoys good humour!" Prince Maurice exclaims.

Kiril then proceeds to feed on the man, boy and pig, trying not to kill any of them.  Once he was sufficiently replenished, he would offer his blood to Carinus and Sherazhina.

Carinus bows deeply to Sherazhina, kissing her hand as he does so.

Righting himself, he then says - "It is my pleasure to be your acquaintance, miss Sherazhina...?"

"Basarab, i'm from the Basarab family" the girl says, clearly enjoying the man's treatment.

Kiril goes to feed on the old man. He finds it incredibly difficult to stop himself from draining the man dry - his self control is stretched to its very limits, though he manages to hold the Beast at bay, just barely, While forcefully sucking out a good deal of blood. He notes that the child does not react to his draining of the old man. Moving on to said child, he continues slaking his thirsts - still fighting against the Beast, but with more notable success. It still refuses to give up though, straining against its cage.

When he has gotten what he can without risking the child's life, Kiril moves on to the pig - the foul creature's blood is like piss in his mouth after the old man and the boy (and they weren't exactly fine specimens to begin with) but Kiril still finds its blood somewhat nourishing.

Steeling his will, Kiril then finally manages to stave off the Beast, having kept his total control the entire time he was feeding.

Once he is done, Carinus enters Kiril's wagon to get a fine glass to drink from - Kiril believes it is the same one he'd used back at his home in Sofia.

Kiril's blood drips into the glass, and Carinus offers it to Sherazhina.

Warily, the revenant drinks from the glass. Her nostrils flare as it goes down her throat, and her eyes open rather wide as the potent blood strengthens her, intermingling itself with her human blood.

Carinus then drinks himself, showing no visible reaction the the blood.

"We must follow the traditions to find favor in the Prince, Lucien." Anton states.

"Well, Vassily Taltos of clan Ravnos, Diplomatic advisor to the Eastern Lords," Steeple replies, getting up from the table to go "I'd be honored to have one of your renown introduce me to the Prince."

"Shall we?"

"Indeed, we shall"

The Ravnos gets up himself, and the two Cainites exit the tavern.

"He seems rather pleased if I do say so myself." Prince Maurice remarks.

---

Vassily leads the group to the edge of the river, and negotiates a ferry across for everyone. They start the climb up castle hill, hoping to finally introduce themselves to the Prince and then find out what they'd been called here for.

About halfway up the hill, they found themselves in a small division of modest homes, each shuttered, and the lamps here were fading fast, indeed when Anton passed too close to one it guttered out completely. As they made their way through the streets, they came upon an unusual sight.

It was a man, standing taller than most, he was large and powerful looking. His wild mane of hair was red. He wore a filthy tunic and an ancient looking breastplate that looked to be straight out of the Roman era. His eyes seemed to glow with whatever passion took hold of one such as he, their blue visible even on a night as dark as this one. In his right hand he held a spear, which he pounded against the ground when he saw them.

"Stand, O children, whose shoulders bear the burden of redemption!"

He addresses them all in Hungarian - those who can quickly translate for the others. His voice booms across the square, so powerful that it feels as if the earth trembles under it.

"Long have my eyes sought beyond to that which has been and will be. He rises and all must be ready! Soon you shall meet with one whose plans lead you into the heart of terror and exultation. Rejoice, for you shall witness all. You play a grand part in what comes. Ah! The sweetheart’s blood, let it wash away the sin. Eight signs of the coming nights shine within my vision. I see you within each. Though nothing is ever prevented, yet it might be transformed by the actions of a few. Go now, my children, and remember my words when the patterning is asked of you. Zolot lies; flee his visions! Prosper and we shall meet again.”

Should anyone look to Vassily at the moment, they will see that he stairs across into space dull and empty-eyed - he is clearly not aware of what is happening around him right now, nor is he in control of his own body.

"Huh... Must be a Malkavian," Steeple says, "Can't understand a word of what he just said..."
