Myca left soon after his visit, having talked at length with Kiril and Lucien about this or that subject. Once he was gone work began again. With his money the cainites were able to purchase more supplies and replace any lost tools, as well as more men to work. Morale returned to the camp as well as the towns as Lucien lowered the taxes of not just the town but the pass as well, and attacks from the wolves had stopped. Though it had taken two months of pulling teeth just to finish the placements of the floor it took far less to finish the rest of the floor.
The cotterie often spent their nights disturbed by Steeple's muttering, as the vampire often, strangely enough, began muttering to Prince Maurice in his sleep. Steeple would also often spend nights in the graveyard, intending to catch the fiends who would disturb the graves of the dead, only to return with no results (though the grave robberies had stopped).
The apprentice mason was found to be horribly, viciously mauled (perhaps the final victim of the ghoul wolves?) by the edge of the town, with him was one of the slave girls. Both had clearly been partially eaten and many vital organs were missing, most likely the fault of scavengers.
Kiril found the money he had collected for Sherazhina in the communal haven on waking. They have no spoken much since, but Kiril knows at least what choice she has made.
Construction proceeds, and work looks good. Soon it will be time to inform their sires and their patron of the group's success.
