Beats moved in to engage the threat, swinging a flurry of blows - but slipped on something sliming the floor, and skittered uncontrollably right on past the spiderbots. After sailing through a half dozen porn windows in an attempt to remain on his feet, he finally found solid ground once again - grateful that he had not taken a face-plant into the horribly greasy mess coating the ground.
The three hostile spiderbots meanwhile, went straight for Robor - jumping right over the Saint to get to the spirit master. The other two spiderbots, that Robor had already gained control over, blocked for him, each knocking a leaping spider off target. The one free spiderbot however, landed clean, and bit into Robor's right flip-flop, tearing from his foot and ripping it to shreds with slavering fangs! While Robor felt no pain, his now naked foot, and the lower part of that leg, began to fade out, like Beats earlier injuries had done.
As this went on, UsdiYona dug into the back of the arachnid with her claws. "No! Bad Spider! We Do Not Eat Footwear!" she scolded, leaving deep furrows in the spiderbot, but unsure how much the damage was actually impacting it.
For his part, Robor continued plying his influence over the spirit-infused portion of the crystalline spiders. The two deflected spiderbots abruptly stood down - now giving Robor a total of four under his control.
From behind meanwhile, the Saint (Killer) stabbed his sword down through the head of the spiderbot attacking Robor. The blade thunked satisfyingly into the floor and pinned the beast to the spot.
At this point, Emend attempted to use his encryption knowledge against the spiderbot, and managed to disable a pair of its legs.
Once Robor set the other four spiderbots on their now trapped and gimpy companion, it was over quite quickly - the controlled constructs swarming in and savagely tearing the other one apart.
When it was over, the Saint found that he could retrieve his sword, simply by thinking it was back in his hand (which it then was). However, when Robor tried to 'think back' his right flip-flop in the same manner, he was met with sorry disappointment and left with one bare foot.
