His tax plan is a farce though. I'm down for cutting taxes on the rich, taking away 40% of someone's paycheck is no Bueno, no matter how much money you make, but when you're raising taxes on single moms who are struggling enough already that's messed up.

I made a game out of our Mythic Nippon game. It's up for testing now. Kirito makes an appearance in it if you're interested in trying it out.

(New Game is the only option that fully works right now, although practice mode is mostly good except for the arcade bot I believe).

As someone who has limited experience with a few Civ games, all I really know is that cultural victories are a thing, the Great Wall of China isn't as clunky to use anymore, and Teddy Roosevelt's back. I mean, the graphics are also pretty, and Harald Hardrada's voice is a joy to listen to as well. As far as Civ games go, it's more of the same, with bits and bobs added, removed, or "Optimized" in ways that might upset fans who prefer certain games or playstyles.

Also, as opposed to having one advisor for each subject, you only have one advisor for every subject, and she's a Greco-Roman lady with a vaguely Scottish accent.

I don't know, because I never played with the Great Wall the first time around, I guess. According to the guy who was gushing over my shoulder as I played the game, the Great Wall is a more convenient option because now the game considers it a tile improvement, (as opposed to whatever it used to be?) and builders can just add more to it all over the place.

Speaking of Tile improvements, now you can make cities bigger on the map, which makes them more uber.

It used to be that the Great Wall was a wonder that gave the 'great Wall' defence benefit to all the cities you owned. Basically counting as a wall but it only counted for stuff already build and couldn't be lengthened of adapted so if you built a new city or captured one it would not get the benefit and you couldn't use it like a fort or to hold any other area.

Oh, I didn't know that. In Revolution the benefit of building it was that countries couldn't declare war on you, and if you were already at war upon building it or started a war with them after, they would always accept ending the war.

So basically you could go into their territory, take a few potshots at some cities and see what you get away with, and if they were ever in a position to take some cities back you could just sue for peace and end the conflict until you wanted to do it all over again.

Only shitty thing about it was that the Great Wall became useless once another civilization discovered engineering, which meant you better build it and use it quick.

Going on a real life adventure, either this week before Thanksgiving or next week after.

Time has come to move Lady Z's mom down from PA to stay with us in our new home here in NC.

The fun part is we can't afford U-Hauls, so we will be taking a giant horse trailer up to load and bring back down with all our stuff in it.

I don't look forward to driving down the Appalachian mnts in VA with a loaded trailer haha!

Anyway, I'll still have only limited access to the net, till after the big move.

Can't wait to put this behind me though!

Playing EU4. Trying to conquer Japan as Date (where Sendai would be). Most of Japan is broken into Daiymo states, which are vassals of our Japan overlord. All that really means is we're only allowed to war each other.

Doing well, conquered about 1/4 of Japan already. Another Daiymo declares surprise war on me, but that's fine. End up fending off the attack and am projected to win in the end. This is great for me, since I need to expand to be able to compete with the current largest Daiymo in Japan.

What Farking happens? Japan annexes the vassal I'm fighting.
In the middle of our war.
WHICH IS AGAINST THE FarkING RULES.
BECAUSE YOU'RE ONLY ALLOWED TO ANNEX VASSALS WHEN THEY ARE NOT AT WAR.

This is why these strategy games piss me off so much. They never follow their own Farking rules.

Yup, one rule for the player and one for the computer seems to be a mainstay of then and it sucks.

As for the olde ghost town... I've been sick and working loads, also playing Dead Space and AC Unity in spare time and sorted out my sheets for Final War before being distracted by accepting a second job at a private clinic... The slow down was nicely timed for me lol
