"Oh, and to answer your question, the magic in there is certainly keeping them alive. Or so to speak. There is a chanse that their souls is in the castle of the ancestors now and" He gestured to their bodies "those are just soulless husks untill the gods decide its time to bring them back."

“Hmm… you want me to get you a book?” the Earth Elemental asked as it moved into the chamber.

As Kirito had concluded, the script on the columns did not react to the Elemental’s presence and it made its way unimpeded to the well.

Once at the edge, it leaned over to look down into the well, then turned back to Kirito outside the chamber and asked, “Which one do you want?”

A sudden outburst of nosebleed does indeed prove Rai right. "I think you might be right..." he replied. "On second though, only take (insert book name here.) And hold onto it. I want to read it on our way back." he said while trying to stop the flow.

The Elemental just turned back to the well and clambered into it with all the grace of a bull on a rope ladder.

A moment later, it returned to the top and then jumped out, holding two books and four scrolls.

It took a second to look at each and then tossed them all back into the well.

"No book by that name, Priest," it said simply.

Miya suggests to Kirito before heading over to Yuki.

"Are you alright Yuki? You've been banged up a bit and I know those spirits helped you but I just want to make sure."
She asks in a caring voice.

The Elemental seem to snort in disgust at Kirito’s request (if that was even possible), but turned to climb back down the well anyway.

Once back up, it crossed the inner sanctum and brought the two books and four scrolls over to Kirito.

Looking them over, Kirito saw that they consisted of the following –

Four lacquered bamboo scrolls originally written in Old Realm, but with a Realm Tongue translation scribed into the margins; each detailing the creation rituals for a different set of exceptionally powerful Ofuda Strips (Paper Charms meant to be hung on the outside of buildings to ward them from certain types of harm) – These included the Ofuda of Protection From Disease, the Ofuda of Protection From Spirits, the Ofuda of Protection From Theft, and the Sacred Ofuda.

The first book was really just a collection of pages, written in Old Realm and apparently torn from some larger manuscript, before being sewn together with horsehair.

It contained diagrams and information on the creation process of four arcane relics – the Collar of Dawn’s Cleansing Light, the Starmetal Divining Bowl, the Reflecting Glass of Many Faces, and Wings of The Raptor.

The second book meanwhile, was a monstrously large tome, not with written text, but with each letter of every line of every paragraph painstakingly embroidery-stitched into each of its four hundred silk pages.

This book also appeared to be encoded in some manner, as the characters (which had the appearance of Old Realm) made no sense when read directly.

Yuki takes the large tomb and looks through it, using her different sights in order to see if they would reveal anything.

(And since it's not on her sheet yet, Yuki reads to aura of Jenna too haha)

Kirito, leaving the big tome to Yuki for the moment, decided to pay more attention to the creation of the scroll for the different rituals. To them trough thouroghly and memorize them.

"Kirito, let's pull the move we did last time. Have your elemental pull us fast. My students will carry you over." Roka simply states.

Yuki sees nothing more about the tome with her Sorcerer's Sight. In fact, the book doesn't even seem to hold any magic at all.

Kirito meanwhile, finds that it will take more than a casual glancing through, to memorize the content of the other book and scrolls.

Yuki studies the tome quizzically, before nodding her head.

"Yep. This is definitely, the tome of secrets...probably..."

She then puts the book into her bag and turns to Kirito.

"You should put the rest back", she remarks. She then turns to everyone else.

"We should probably go now..."

Yuki finishes, looking at the shrine as it rebuilds itself.

By now, anyone looking, sees that the slab of stone, where the Naga had appeared, has already rebuilt itself a third of the way up from the ground...

"We need to hurry, that altar is almost done fixing itself. I say we pack the confusing(Encoded) and larger book before retreating. Leave the rest."
She says with a sense of urgency in her voice.

Miya snatches the scrolls out of Kirito's hands and begins quickly reading through them. Putting them to memory.

"We are not stealing from the God's Temples any more than we have too. Understand?"
Miya tells Kirito as she shoves the scrolls back into his arms.

"I have too much at stake to risk anymore than we already have committed to do."

Kirito has everyone hold hands and successfully pushes himself to teleport everyone back to Sendai – whereupon, he immediately falls exhausted by the effort.

Looking around, the Samurai notice something is wrong – THERE’S NO SENDAI!

It’s gone, the landscape and mountains and valleys are all there in the right place – but the entire city just isn’t there!

Not a single man-made structure can be seen anywhere and the environs are completely overgrown in wilderness.

He once again looks around, and just scratches his head. "At least here we can set up in case of an attack, sorta. I don't want to meet another Giant at this state"

Rai looks around and says, "We really should rest. I think we are far enough away to not worry about being caught in a trap but just in case. Those of us who are not very injured should keep watch."

He prepares to use readily overlooked campsite to hide where they are from any wandering spirits.
