These are the unclassified human and known unclassified alien weapons. As with the intel on alien species this is ALL your chars know so no suddenly trying to track down somthing different without fist being shot by it several times... or since I'm a lovely GM I will ensure you do get shot by it.

Human weaponry, everything unclassified is available in great detail summariezed below. There are some partly classified and some fully classified. Obviously the fully classified are not normally even listed but they are here with just the name listed due to 'Rumours' of their existance which ALWAYS manage to crop up.

Alien weaponry, pretty much everything is classified or missing but what you MIGHT know is here.

Assault Rifle

MA5B Individual Combat Weapon System, the standard all round marine weapon, fired at close range it sprays bullets rapidly enough to tear through unprotected flesh with ease and used in short bursts its accurate up to mid range while retaining its killing power. This is the standard weapon every recruit is trained in.

Battle Rifle

This is the more advanced standard troopers weapon. Still want the rapid burst fire but want more range and better chance of clean headshots? This rifle is scoped as standard and will regularly place all 3 shots right where you aim them with only slight upward pull on the second and 3rd shots. Marksmen love this rifle for midrange combat to get headshots and long range to get clusters of body shots. This is a great catch-all weapon, it doesnt have the rate of fire the assult rifle has or the accuracy at high range that the DMR has but its burst fire dependably delivers bullets with great accuracy at a reasonable rate making it usefull in almost any conciveable combat situation.

SMG (Caseless Submachine Gun)

The bullet hose. This weapon is designed to be light, easy to carry and concivably useable with only 1 hand though this is unadvisable. It will simply spray alot of bullets in a short space of time with little to no accuracy ar range. It will pump out enough bullets to turn almost anything into pulp very quickly but only if you get close enough for the whole spray to hit. While very deadly at close range don't count on getting headshots at mid range or even hitting a tank at long range.

M6A Handgun

The military side-arm. There are a great many variations in the M6 range but this is the one that is issued at your base and the only one you've handeled yourself, yes its more commonly used in civilian forces but your command just really loves it and its your bases only military sidearm. It fires accuratly at short range, will get nice headshots for the marksman and clean bodyshots for the less accurate. Just don't confuse it for a full combat ready primary weapon.

Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR)

As the name suggests, this is the rifle often chosen by the core's marksmen for non-close-quaters field duty. It fires a single bullet each time you hit the trigger and will put that bullet exactly where you aim it at the higest range of a standard shoulder fired weapon. Commonly refered to as lying somewhere between the battle rifle and the sniper, trigger pulls are slower than with the battle rifle meaning many less shots fired but it is extreamly accurate at high range where the battle rifles grouping starts to spread and each bullet is fired at a greater velocity and with higher damage potential. Going somewhere with wide open terrain and long line of site? This is the weapon to take with you, just remember that in close range your enemy may be firing faster than you.

M45 Tactical Shotgun

A Standard UNSC shotgun, when you are close to an enemy it blasts them with a tight spread of pellets which is powerful enough to cause a normal human wearing body armour to do a full backflip before landing. In close range this weapon is devistating and will punch through a lot of amour or damage it badly enough to render most targets immobile with a single shot. At range however it quickly looses its accuracy and stopping power as the pellets diverge. Going into a close quarters battle then this is the weapon of choice, just remember that at range your stopping power drops off very quickly.

M41 SSR MAV/AW (Rocket launcher)

This is the UNSC single operator heavy ordinace of choice. The ammo comes preloaded into twin disposable launch tubes so to reload you simply swap the old tubes out for the new ones and are immediatly ready to go, this reduces the weapons unloaded carry weight significantly and means you can fire two rockets in quick succession before removing the empties and relocating with the now light weapon. The rockets are propelled and highly accurate even at very high range although they do suffer from slight drop over the longest distances. This weapon is best deployed at mid range since in close quarters you are likely to kill yourself in the blast and at long range only the best operators can hit a moving target do to the lower speed of the rockets in flight. Also of note is the vehicle lock-on system which provides limited homing capability and the fact that the rockes do leave a smoke trail so do relocate after firing.

This weapon requires heavy weapons or demolishions training to be fully utilized.

Sniper Rifle System 99D-Series 2 Anti-Matériel

This is the UNSC's sniper rifle, it will fire well over 2 kilometres with over 97% accuracy and enough force to penetrate light-medium armour with ease. If used on a human target or similar it will pierce right through several subjects in full body armour without even slowing down. Capable of punching clean through a warthogs armour or even the armour plating on a tank canopy to kill the driver this weapons power is to be feared. there are of course downsides to any weapon and this weapon's are that is it unwieldy, especially in tight quarters, has a relatively slow rate of fire due to the small clip size and an eagle eyed enemy can trace the bullets flight path due to a slight vapour trail left in the air. In close quarters many contest that this weapon can be used somewhat similarly to a shotgun, firing off the clip at close enough range to not need the scope however the unwieldyness of the weapon and large kick when not on its bi-pod, coupled with the small clip size means that this should probably be used mainly for sniping.

This weapon requires marksmanship or sniper training to be fully utilized

M9 high explosive dual-purpose grenade (frag grenade)

This is the standard military issue grenade, named dual purpose as it is designed to be used for both anti-personnel and against lightly armoured vehicles. The grenade is made up of a high explosive charge encased in solid metal which has been designed to shatter into evenly sized and disbursed shrapnel upon detonation. The grenade is activated by pressing the button however it will not detonate until it has impacted on a surface. (A safety feature so that it won't go off in your hand).

To use simply hit the button and throw, once it has impacted a surface it will detonate within 2 seconds. Never stand too close as the initial blast and shrapnel are both easily capable of killing a human in standard body armour instantly.

'Plasma Pistol'

Named this by the marines who have faced it in battle for the simple reason that it's roughly the size of a pistol and it fires what looks like plasma. If the UNSC has any idea how it works the aren't saying.

It has 2 known fire modes:
1. Firing small bolts of plasma in quick succession
2. 'Charging up' a very large ball of plasma- there are reports of this behaving in odd ways in the air but these are unconfirmed.

'Plasma Repeater'

There have been several descriptions of this weapon wielded by the 'larger' species within the covenant. It is described as firing a stream of plasma bolts, akin to a machine gun. Any human seen to have been hit by this stream of plasma has died covered with extensive plasma burns.

'Needler'

Seen on many battlefields this strange weapon looks like a pink porcupine and fires strange crystals which easily pierce armour. Some reports link this weapon to large pink explosions which literally tore marines into pieces. Many conflicting reports on this weapon prevent proper knowledge being circulated including reports of strange behaviour in the air, it is currently assumed that there are several distinct but similar looking weapons causing the different effects.

It is a rapid fire weapon.

'Beam rifle'

This is assumed to be a form of alien sniper weapon. There is no current description of it being circulated. The known reports state that a funny coloured beam of light (blue or purple?) suddenly appeared and pierced right through marines and their armour usually killing them instantly.

'Fuel rod cannon'

This is a form of hand held artillery seen on many battle fields being wielded by many types of enemies. the closest comparison seems to be a type of plasma rocket launcher which is semi-rapid fire. It fires large colourful balls of plasma which detonate union impact causing the standard impact shockwave as well as the burning plasma flare. Devastating against infantry and capable of flipping and destroying light vehicles with ease. There are no reported cases of infantry surviving a hit.
